Nobody tells you how quickly your newborn becomes a baby.

It happens somewhere between the 3 a.m. feedings, the laundry you forgot in the washer, and the hundredth time someone tells you to “soak it all in.”

And then suddenly their legs don’t curl up against you anymore.
Their newborn clothes are packed away.
Their little face has already changed.

That’s why I don’t need your house to be perfect.
I don’t need your baby to sleep the entire time.
And I definitely don’t need you to know what to do in front of my camera.

I just want to document your family exactly where you are right now.

A little tired. A little overwhelmed. Completely obsessed with this tiny person you just met.

Because you’re going to remember that you loved them this much.

But you deserve to remember what it looked like, too. 🤍

One day, you’re going to look at your baby and realize you can’t remember the last time they fit like this in your arms.

And that’s the cruel little trick of the newborn days.

While you’re living them, they feel endless.
The feedings. The rocking. The tiny noises from the bassinet. The older sibling constantly wanting to touch the baby. Everyone learning how to be a family again.

And then somehow… it’s over.

The newborn clothes get packed away.
Their legs start hanging over your lap.
That tiny head doesn’t fit perfectly beneath your chin anymore.

You’ll take thousands of photos of your baby during this season.

But how many will show you there, too?

The way your daughter kissed her new sibling’s head.
The way Dad held a baby who looked impossibly small against his chest.
The way you looked in the home where you brought them home.

That’s why I will always tell you to book the newborn session.

Not because you need beautiful pictures of your baby.

Because someday, your baby is going to want to see what it looked like when they were this loved from the very beginning.

And this season gives you a very, very small window to remember it exactly as it was. 🤎

If you’re expecting, don’t wait until baby arrives to reach out. Newborn sessions are best reserved while you’re still pregnant.
