Followed Jenny and Alex around during their maternity session and just let them be them. That laugh under the archway, holding hands on the stairs, her spinning in that yellow dress at the end, none of it was posed. That's kind of the whole point.

This is why I love shooting maternity so much. You're catching people right before their whole world shifts.

Joaniky's 50th birthday was nothing short of a cinematic event. Floor-length gowns, dramatic red florals, stilt walkers, and a "Get Ready to Fly" theme that had every detail speaking for itself. These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

He wasn't stuck posing for a single one of these. That's the point. The pointing finger, the pizza box grin, the "hold me but let me look around" squirm, this is what two looks like when nobody's forcing a smile.

Someone actually said that to me last month. So here's a carousel of the "hobby" life: waterfalls in North Carolina, elephants in Thailand, boats in Krabi, and a guy who apparently doesn't have an office because his office is wherever the light is good.

Dream job doesn't mean no work. It means the work follows you somewhere worth being.
