I was so honored when a teacher friend asked me to photograph her family while they were vacationing together in OCNJ. šŸ¤

She brought along her beautiful mom and her brotherā€™s family, making this session about so much more than picturesā€”it was about time together, family, and memories at the shore.

And the cousins? Friends for life. šŸ’™

September brings quieter beaches, warm evenings, fewer crowds and some of the prettiest skies of the year.

Sandy fingers, serious concentration, and something he absolutely had to show me. These are the little moments I love catching during a beach sessionā€¦the ones you could never plan.

Sometimes the best things you find at the beach arenā€™t seashells. šŸ¤

Someone spent a whole lot of time, patience and imagination creating this little masterpiece in the sandā€¦.and I couldnā€™t walk by without capturing it.

By tomorrow, the tide, wind and footsteps may change it completely.

Just another reminder that some beautiful things are only meant to be here for a moment.

A relaxed, easy beach session with a very busy 3-year-old.

We played, we explored, we found treasures in the sandā€¦ and yes, we even had a little sand-in-the-eyes emergency. šŸ˜‚

But with laid-back, loving parents who simply let their little guy be himself, we captured the good stuffā€¦the thumbs up, the belly laughs, the beautiful smiles, the snuggles, and all those sweet in-between moments.

Because with a 3-year-old, you donā€™t need perfect poses.
You just need to let them play.

And thatā€™s where the magic happens. ā˜€ļøšŸŒŠ

Energetic boys + a beach photoshoot = never a dull moment. šŸ˜‚

These two came ready to moveā€”running, jumping, climbing and keeping me on my toes the entire session. And honestly, thatā€™s where some of the best photos happen.

We got the family portraits Mom and Dad wanted, but we also made plenty of room for the boys to just be boys.

Because years from now, it wonā€™t only be the perfectly posed photo youā€™ll love. Itā€™ll be the ones that remind you exactly who they were at this age. šŸ’™

Let them play. Let them be silly. Let them jump. Iā€™ll catch the memories.

The hydrangeas, the salty air, the late-summer skyā€¦ even the walk there feels like part of the memory.
