This is what happens when a photographer refuses to stop learning.

The image on the left was a great headshot in 2020 โ€” clean, professional, exactly what the industry standard called for at the time.

The image on the right is that same photo, retouched with everything I learned since then. That depth and warmth that pulls you into the face. Skin with very natural texture retained, not erased, every distraction smoothed with precision.

It doesn't just illuminate the subject anymore, it sculpts him. That's the difference between a photo that looks "done" and a photo that looks finished.

Iโ€™ve had an incredible first week mentoring two high school students from the Emerging Entrepreneurs Academy . The internship program is an intensive 6-week entrepreneur workshop that is developing the Berks County business leaders of tomorrow.

We took a deep dive into the business side of thingsโ€”from building business plans to setting big goals.
But we also got hands-on in the studio! ๐Ÿ’ก I turned the camera over to them to practice three of my standard lighting setups:
