Hi! I’m Ashlee and I’m a lifestyle and wedding photographer located in Middletown, Ohio! I can’t wait to meet you! Hi, let me introduce myself! Who am I today?

My name is Ashlee Young, and I am Dayton/Cincinnati-based photographer. I am 24 years old and have a passion for taking and making memories. How did I get into photography? That all started a long time ago. I was 13 years old and it was Christmas morning. I had one more present under the tree and my mom told me this one was special. I opened it with EXTREME caution, and it was my very first camera

. It was a refurbished Nikon 5D that belonged to my late father. That Christmas morning changed my entire life. That day on my camera acted as an attachment to me. I carried it everywhere I went, even to the grocery store with my mom. In 2015, I was lucky enough to upgrade to a Canon Rebel t3i (which I still use as a second camera to this day). That camera has been all over the globe with me. From Seattle to Yosemite National Park, to Cleveland to New York City. I am a very laid-back (but also type A) person. You will find me in sweatpants and a t-shirt 99% of the time, I am in both as I am typing this. I have two cats that I have rescued and I love dearly and that are my built in models for when I need to practice my skills. I am recently engaged and I am getting married in March of 2024 (He just proposed in Yosemite National Park). During the day, I am a Public Relations Coordinator for a Non-Profit called AIM for the Handicapped in Dayton, OH. I am in charge of all of their social media, designs, photographs, etc.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures.

Today is always bittersweet for me. I love being able to celebrate my awesome step-dad, Brett. He stepped up and helped me through those really rough teenage years after my dad passed away. But it always makes me wonder what life would be like if my dad was still here. I am so extremely grateful for both.
