Impressionism by Galbo

Impressionism by Galbo John, sociologist/anthropologist/photographer: "My images are secrets about secrets. The more they tell me, the less I know." John Galbo

"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. I lift my eyes and the world is born again." Sylvia Plath (1932-1963)
The camera is the implement of my rebirth. The sole vehicle, by design and disarray, is the foment of my awakening, again and again. It is the cathartic renaissance of artistic license, in the pursuit of the unknown. My photography is the art of seduction, holding the subject captive

, be it sacred, profane, and/or arcane. The collaboration of the human senses, with the digitized image, and embellishment of ink and paint, result in an image, not privy to replication. My travail may garner a modicum of acclaim. Or the outcome will be a catastrophic abomination, not suitable, even as a magnanimous gift, to the most tolerant of friends. No matter the voices, gushing, shrill, or silent; it is art, my art!
