Early winter in the mountains. 🌲 Some snow underfoot, evergreens holding their color. This family planned photos for the same day they cut down their Christmas tree. There wasn’t snow at home in Midway, so finding it up at the higher elevation made it feel like the season had arrived. ❤️

This summer has been my busiest yet with photography in Utah and I’m working hard to get caught up! 😅 Both with editing many recent sessions and sharing some of the highlights. Does anyone else feel like Summer 2021 should really be termed, the summer we squeezed two summers into one?? Grateful for all of the families I’ve gotten to work with in the last few months!

Congrats to Spencer and Amber!! Spencer proposed over the weekend at the gorgeous Stein Erickson Lodge at a pretty spot away from the ski crowds. They were in town from New Orleans skiing with Spencer’s family, but Amber’s parents flew in for the surprise and made her tear up when she realized they were there. Such a sweet, special day!! I did this headshot session in downtown Salt Lake with a client who needed to match the style and lighting of headshots of his work colleagues taken previously. The Hardware building where he was living temporarily before moving to Europe a few weeks later was a beautiful backdrop!

Coolest spot in town for a proposal!! (I know, silly pun! 😉💕) Congrats to Ryan and Kelsie!! Both sets of parents helped with the setup ahead of time and were hiding around the corner and popped in to congratulate the couple after Kelsie said yes!
