What an incredible day at New Life Church in Foley! I am still buzzing from the energy in that room. Hosting this workshop for our group of 12 was a deeply moving experience, and I am so honored to have been part of their journey toward self-discovery.
For me it was more than just a workshop—it was a beautiful homecoming. I had the privilege of spending the day with 12 amazing women exploring the intersection of faith, identity, and the vibrant, God-given palettes we all carry within our own flesh.
What We Covered: We moved beyond surface-level trends and dove deep into the ‘why’ of our beauty.
We learned how to:
• Identify Our God-Given Palette: By looking at the colors within our own bodies—the depth of our eyes, the tone of our skin, and the natural highlights in our hair—we discovered the unique signature we were created with.
• The Science of Seasons: Using 12-season frames and professional drapes, each participant stepped into the light to see how specific colors could either ‘dim’ or ‘brighten’ their natural glow. It was a powerful moment of realization for everyone.
• Practical Transformation: While we didn’t create individual color swatches today ( this requires 1:1 ) every participant left with the clarity of their specific season. We talked about how to take that knowledge home to transform their closets—learning to curate a wardrobe that honors their natural harmony rather than fighting against it.
• Beauty from the Inside Out: We discussed how to translate this knowledge into their daily routines—from choosing the right makeup shades to selecting clothing that makes them feel confident, empowered, and truly seen.
I want to give a huge heartfelt thank you to my daughter Maja. She was a backbone of the setup and captured the beauty of our event through her incredible photography skills. She is currently in training to learn this craft, and I am so proud to watch her prepare to share this gift of confidence when the time is right
The Takeaway: The goal wasn’t to change who we are, but to remove the barriers that keep our natural radiance from shining through. We learned that color is a tool for self-love. Whether it’s in the clothes we wear or the makeup we choose, it’s all about honoring the ‘canvas’ we were given.
To my 12 beautiful participants: Thank you for your vulnerability, your laughter, and your willingness to see yourselves through a lens of grace. Remember, you were designed with intention. Go forth and shine—the world needs the light that only you can bring.”
