Some of the scenes from walking around the downtown area this week. Flowers in the planters, a bicycle in a style so old even people my age haven't ridden one, a water tower and a fountain with numbered days, and a school that has come back to life.

This string of small office buildings along the south side of Lila Ave have always intrigued me. Something about the architecture (the angles? the use of glass? the brick?) takes me back to the mid to late 70's. Whether they were designed and built at that time I don't know (and haven't looked it up, that's an exercise for the reader or a memory trip for those old enough) ..and a selfie...I'm apparently quite tall!

Scenes... Watertower work continues and Wallace is truly closed as they put the middle ring(?) together. Things hanging from trees, and places that were there and now are gone, or are there and will soon be gone.

Porchville makes a public service announcement:
In case you haven't noticed, St, Andrews, after a number of years of being inactive as a normal school, will become a school again in the fall.

That means the school zone speed limit, the crosswalk etc. will all be active again.
Please be safe around our children.

(in some prior years, shortly before the school year stated, the city has turned on the crosswalk stop light to activate every so many minutes to get people used to slowing down and/or stopping)

Between even more travel and medical things, I've not been seen around town much. This morning I took my first walk in a while and of course I had to check out the water tower progress. I also took a couple flower shots from the big pots on Main St.
