LONG POST: sorry but also not sorry. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this session. ❤️

Long before I ever photographed Olivia’s senior portraits, I knew this girl. When Olivia was a toddler, I had her in my daycare classroom. She was this little girl who knew exactly what she wanted, yet was also incredibly loving, joyful, and full of happiness. I have so many memories of those days. I would leaving daycare and heading over to babysit her and spending time with her parents into the early hours of the morning.

Those were some of the best days.

And now, somehow, here we are… 15 years later!!!

As I sit here writing this, I can’t help but feel incredibly honored that I’ve had the privilege of watching Olivia grow from that sweet little girl into the beautiful young woman she is today. And getting to photograph her senior portraits and send her off into her senior year with photographs that capture this season of her life! That means more to me than I can put into words.

And of course… I have to mention the editing. 😂 I don’t normally share a ton of matte/filmy looks, but this is what Olivia wanted, so yes, I happily stepped outside my usual style for this one.

Olivia, it has been such a gift watching you grow. I’m so incredibly proud of you and cannot wait to see where life takes you next. ❤️

Here’s to your senior year, sweet girl. Soak it all in. You’re going to do amazing things.

Whenever a beautiful mama messages me wanting to schedule session away from her home state on the West Coast and make time for photos somewhere completely different, she takes advantage of it, and I absolutely love that.
When we first started planning their session, we talked about so many different locations. There were so many possibilities, but then they told me they live in the desert and wanted something they simply don’t get to see at home; Lush greens and trees.
I immediately knew where I wanted to take them.
So, we headed to a local waterfall and started our little adventure down the trail. There was something so fun about watching them take in the landscape around them. The deeper we hiked, the greener it became, and eventually we reached the waterfall. Then the session just unfolded. Exploring, throwing rocks, climbing rocks and the list goes on. This is one of my favorite things about photographing families...sometimes the best photographs happen when you stop worrying about the photographs and simply let the adventure happen.

I just love an in-home newborn session! There’s something so cozy and intimate about capturing those first days or weeks where you feel most comfortable.

And the best part is no two sessions are ever the same. These photos are completely and uniquely yours: Your home, your little details, your love, your story.

Senior Session Season! I love doing senior sessions that are meaningful. Tanner knew exactly what he wanted for session because it was authentically him. And now he is off to an amazing future. Thanks Danielle Greiner for letting me do these for you both.

Talk about double the fun... and double the frosting! This sweet mama was one of the winners from my Pause event this spring and chose to celebrate her two June birthday boys with a double cake smash session. I mean. why have one cake when you can have two?!

There were messy fingers, frosting-covered smiles, and so many giggles—pretty much everything a cake smash should be 💙

A couple months ago before Liz opened up her business fully we did some really sweet photos of her and her family working. I just love being involved in all aspects of live and business. Congratulations Liz on the booming business.

I love meeting families in places that already hold so many memories for them. Choosing a familiar location for your senior session helps create photos that feel even more meaningful when you look back on them years later.
Being able to tailor each senior session to the student is one of my favorite parts of this job. Cyrus is a swimmer, so naturally we headed to the pool! It was so fun getting to watch him in action and capture him doing what he loves most.
