Dear friends,

I apologize for my absence in this space over the past year without explanation. Some years are for thriving and some are for surviving. 2025 was a survival year for our family.

People have been asking if I am still in business, so I wanted to address those questions here.

A difficult and complex diagnosis for our oldest child turned our lives upside down and continues to keep us on our toes almost daily. Because he was unable to tolerate in-person school, we made the decision to have him attend online school from home last fall, and this semester his younger brother is joining him from home as well. Between health needs, school needs, and the addition of a very busy toddler, my days are very full.

I have quietly continued to photograph previously booked sessions and am grateful for the moments I get behind the camera. With that said, I am not taking additional bookings for the time being, and my website has been paused to minimize inquiries.

When we say yes to one thing, we say no to another, and while I do miss client work, right now I have to say yes to my own babies first. They need me, and I am so grateful I can be present for them in this season. I hope that we will soon find our rhythm again, whatever that may look like, and that I can meet you again in this beautiful space.

I tend to let the adorable babies do the heavy lifting here when it comes to visual marketing. 🥰

I also tend to assume people already know me (hello small hometown). 👋

In reality, lots of you come to me from many miles away, and even locally I find myself meeting new families all the time, especially as I become farther removed from the generation in the pregnancy/newborn stage of life (I turn 40 soon! 🫣).

If you’re trying to decide who to entrust with your precious newborn in their very first days (not to mention their legacy) you have every right to know whose hands you’re placing them in.

So here I am! ☺️ Nap-trapped mother of three (two school-age boys and a baby girl) who didn’t sleep much last night and didn’t bother with makeup (per usual these days). Former elementary teacher. Lover of nature. Advocate for moms (and dads!), babies, and children. Professional photographer of 9 years. In the trenches of motherhood with you every day and welcoming you to a judgement-free zone. ❤️

My clients become my friends. Your babies are important to me, as are your triumphs and struggles along this wild journey of motherhood.
