SUN-WORSHIPPING FLORA
This sunflower garden in Millington, Md., summer 2019, was planted naturally -- by birds eating sunflower seeds from a bird feeder and then letting nature take care of the rest. They pay it forward -- the garden now attracts Golden Finches, common to this part of Maryland. One of my favorite celeb shots was this one of Reba McEntire, taken during the filming of "The Man From Left Field," in Florida, in 1993. I kept thinking that she was looking straight at me. When she started to wave in my direction, during a break, I thought she was putting the moves on me. Turns out someone was holding her 3-year-old son, Shelby, just behind me. What a let down! Shot with Fujichrome, with a Nikon F4, probably an 80-200mm zoom lens.
