I’ve been doing this almost daily pieces, that are acrylic and oil and pastel since the beginning of the year. The first were small, roughly 4” x 4 “ in a sketch book. Each day I’d add another. The sketch book is about 3/4 full. When it felt right, I moved to slightly larger and thicker paper.

I’m at a point with them where I’m feeling annoyed. I think this suggests if I keep going and trust I’m about to make something I’ll be thrilled with?

Back in PGH in May, I grabbed a blank canvas and worked on it with these oil pastels. I needed to prime the canvas more or possibly I just like working on paper more. Not sure yet.

I’m not sure if I’m getting as much as I want in these smaller works, or if I still have more to grasp before I go larger.
