Today wasn’t just about wrestling.

It was about a community coming together when one of its own needed it most.

I had the privilege of capturing moments from today’s clinic led by an incredible athlete, but what stood out even more than the technique on the mat was the heart in the room. Coaches volunteered their time. Wrestlers showed up eager to learn. Families filled the waiting room with support. Every handshake, every takedown, every smile carried a purpose bigger than the sport itself today.

Wrestling has always been about grit, discipline, and never quitting—but today it reminded us of something even more important: family. When one family is hurting, this community answers the call.

Thank you to everyone who donated, attended, and made today possible. Your generosity will make a difference for the Sudano family, and I’m grateful I was able to be a part of and document a day that truly showed what this wrestling community is all about. ❤️🤼📸

Beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to capture some amazing moments today at Jordan Burroughs’s All I See Is Gold Academy camp.

A huge thank you to Jordans incredible wife, Lauren Burroughs, for welcoming me in and allowing me to document such a an awesome event.

Having someone as accomplished as Jordan Burroughs—not only as an athlete, but as a husband, father, and role model—right here in our own backyard is something truly special. The impact he continues to make by giving back to the community and investing in the next generation is inspiring to see firsthand.

It was an honor to be there and capture these moments. 📸

Happy Father’s Day to the man who taught me how to be a man. The man who taught me how to live with integrity, work hard, and always do the right thing. The man who led by example and showed me what strength, character, and selflessness truly look like.

If I can become even 1% of the man you are, I’ll consider myself lucky.

Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do. I love you, Dad. ❤️ Happy Father’s Day.

Yesterday, a good friend called and asked if he could stop by tomorrow and talk. He’s been carrying a lot lately, so I told him the door was open.

We sat outside and talked for a while. He shared what he’d been going through, and you could see the weight he was carrying just by looking at him.

I asked, “Want to hit the trails and clear your head?”

We loaded up the bikes and headed to the bluffs.

There were plenty of laughs, a few good stories, and more than a few moments where we questioned why we thought riding in this heat was a good idea. We beat the hell out of ourselves. It was hot, humid, and I’m still trying to get back into shape after being sidelined for so long.

But by the time we got back, we both felt better than we had in a while.

That’s the point of this story.

Be there for the people you care about. Call them. Check in. Ask them how they’re really doing, and be willing to listen. Go for a walk, grab a coffee, or take them on a bike ride that nearly makes you pass out.

It doesn’t take a grand gesture. Sometimes an hour, a conversation, and knowing someone showed up is enough to remind a person they’re not carrying it all alone.

You never know what someone is fighting, and you never know if that one conversation is exactly what they needed.
