I live in Pace, Florida with my husband and three young children. Hi, I'm Laurel! Their ages are 4, 2, and 1. Before staying home with my kids, I taught Kindergarden, 1st, and 2nd grade. My life is centered on faith and following Jesus. I enjoy volunteering at my church, and spending time with my family outdoors- bike rides, boat rides, and camping trips. Part two of this double family session coming later on! For now I need to pack more moving boxes. We're only going 10 minutes down the road, so I'm looking forward to taking more sessions in September and on!

Maternity clients, I'm here to tell you that sunrise sessions are the best time of day to get your photos taken! We beat the heat, the crowds, and capture those beautiful pastel skies. You've got less of a chance to be rained out, too!

Jessica told me before we got started that they were feeling a little out of practice in front of a camera, but you'd never be able to tell from the photos! My job is to take that pressure off. I'll guide you with simple prompts and natural poses so you can relax, be yourselves, and enjoy the experience! I love to make it fun!

Little life update...

We sold our house! We will be moving to a new home not far from ours, with some more space for our family. We can't wait! I'll be taking a little pause in taking new bookings for the rest of this month as well as August until we get settled in. If you're interested in a September session, let's talk!

Now on to this beauty... What a lovely morning it was! We met just as the sun was peeking above the horizon, the absolute best way to beat the summer heat in Florida. The clouds made for a beautiful sunrise, and this beautiful mama to be was absolutely glowing!

A few things I loved about this beach proposal-

Usually beach proposals are in quiet spots with no one around. Which is so lovely and intimate! This time, there were people all around us, but that actually made it so much fun because the whole beach filled with cheering when she said yes!

I also loved how wonderful of a job Austin did in hiding the upcoming proposal. You could see that Taylor genuinely was not expecting the proposal on this night. She was in the sweetest stunned shock afterwards! She was all smiles once it really sank in.

One of my favorite ways to end a photo session on the beach is to get your family splashing around in the water, in your pretty clothes. It's fun and it's memorable!
I'm so glad this family chose to do an early sunrise session, because it was just about the only window for that whole weekend that wasn't pouring rain!
