Real talk: you don't need a magazine ready home for family photos. You need a *real* home the one where your actual life happens.

The images that end up on walls forever? They're the ones taken in lived in spaces. Toys scattered. Unmade beds. Worn down couches. That's where the real love and laughter show up.

So here's what actually matters when you're prepping:

✨ Let natural light in and open those curtains. It's the single best thing you can do for beautiful photos.

✨ Create one clear path - I just need space to move and capture you being together. One sightline is enough.

✨ Wear what feels like home Comfort = authenticity. If you feel like yourself, it shows.

Everything else? Leave it. The pile of laundry on the chair, the kids' art projects on the fridge, the coffee cup on the side table that's not clutter. That's proof of a life well loved.

Some of my favorite images aren't posed at all.

This right here? MrsHeather Howard, my boy, a wheelbarrow full of hay, and the kind of afternoon light that makes everything feel golden. She calls her farm River Ride Mini Ranch. She brings people together with horses, to feel the calm, to feel the love, to be one with the silence.

But this is what I'm here for — the in-between moments that actually tell the story. The ones you'll want to frame someday. The ones your kids will ask about when they're grown.

My son absolutely loves the horses and he loves Miss Heather.
