We were lucky enough to capture a traditional Lao Baci ceremony, also known as Sou Khuan. It was one of the most emotional and spiritual ceremonies we’ve ever been part of (and these are just the sneak peeks). 🥰📸

The Sai Sin was especially meaningful. Each white string tied around their wrists represents protection, prosperity, and blessings for their life together. Watching two families sit side by side and speak blessings over them was something we will never forget.

Feeling incredibly grateful we got to witness AND document something this special.

IT'S BEEN AWHILE HIIII!! Behind the scenes, we’ve been editing our way through 38 beautiful weddings from last year (still can’t believe that number… feeling very, very lucky).

The end of last year and start of this one was a bit hectic on a personal level, so we took a short step back. But we’re slowly finding our rhythm again and getting ready for another busy season ahead.

Expect more posts, more storytelling, and a closer look at what we’ve been working on as we ease back into the groove of things 💛

This post includes one photo from every wedding we’ve captured so far this year (also hi - it's been awhile!) and looking through them all at once feels really special.

Lately we’ve been getting asked a lot, “What is your style?”
And honestly, this grid kiiiinda answers that for us.

Each wedding is different.
Different seasons.
Different colors.
Different light.
Different energy.

Some of these photos are warm and bright because the sun was out and the grass was glowing.
Some are cooler and moodier because the sun went down and it was dusk.
Some are grainy and low light.
Some are crisp and clean in bright conditions.
Some are indoor with direct flash.

You’ll see couple portraits, quiet details, a groom partying, a bride with her mother, and other moments that weren’t planned but mattered just as much.

Our style isn’t about forcing one look onto every wedding. It changes with the day, the space, the light, and the people in it. What stays the same is how we see it and how much care we put into documenting it honestly.

Every wedding has taught us something.
How to slow down.
How to adapt.
How much trust it takes to let someone document one of the biggest days of your life.

We continue to learn every day, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had a small part in so many special days and to have met so many amazing people along the way.

Thank you to every couple who trusted us with their story. We don’t take that lightly, ever. 🤍

We’re so grateful to Rylie Anklam at Waterstone Mortgage NMLS #2217996 for shining a light on small wedding businesses (+ others) as we get closer to her own big day!

Sessions like Rylie + Kurt’s remind us how lucky we are to do what we do. We love capturing love stories and working alongside amazing people in all different kinds of worlds (aka if you are looking at buying a home, hit her up!)

💍 They already eloped in Colorado
😎 And said, “Screw it, we’re married already just capture us all having fun!”
