This post contains VERY Important Wedding Photo Flash Drive Information

This is a courtesy PSA to any of my wedding clients from years past: if you haven’t backed up your wedding photos - please DO IT NOW.

(If you are seeing this and are not a wedding client but still have a flash drive from me, this applies to you as well.)

I recently was contacted by a wedding client from over ten years ago who was unable to get their flash drive to load their wedding images. I am taking this opportunity to deliver a VERY IMPORTANT reminder / request for all of you whose weddings I have photographed over the years.

The Digital File Informational PDF on your wedding flash drive specified at the very beginning:

"Your files have been delivered to you via temporary storage media. While disks and portable USB drives are often considered safe long-term storage solutions, I ask that you regard your disk or drive as a temporary solution and back the images up right away to your own computer hard drive or an external drive. I do not guarantee the longevity of any digital storage media and because technology changes rapidly and disks can become damaged and corrupted over time and with use, it is imperative that you back up the images as soon as possible in at least one location separate from the original disk/drive."

Flash drives are never, ever, ever meant to be permanent storage. They will eventually fail / go corrupt / stop working. (Same for those of you who still only have your wedding photos on a disk or set of disks.)

I am asking you to please back them up immediately so you have multiple copies on multiple external hard drives.

Not just one computer.

And don’t forget at least one copy in the cloud (Dropbox, google drive, etc.)

Hello, everyone! Today I am officially announcing that I will no longer be photographing weddings. Please watch this Farewell to Weddings video and accept my most heartfelt gratitude for ten amazing years of love, celebrations, joy and romance. It's been my deepest honor to photograph your weddings, and now I am excited for a whole new world of adventures awaiting me at the Jennifer Brindley Portrait Studio. ♥

Very special thanks to Mike Hiller for being the very best assistant that I could have ever hoped for.

Thanks also to all of the incredible photographers who I've worked with in weddings over the last ten years, as well as the vendors who made each wedding an event to remember.

Clearing out old Studio sample wall pieces! If YOU are in one of these they are FREE if you can come pick them up.

These are Studio samples that have moved with me -some over the last ten years. They are free because they are very well used. Most are scratched, dented, scuffed or otherwise damaged.

We can arrange a time before the end of the year after which time I will be donating the canvases to a local kids art club for painting. If you’re not in town maybe have a family member pick yours up and send it to you or grab it over the holidays. Thanks!

Last Saturday was very special. Not only was it the 200th wedding of my photography career, but Alison and James got married! They had a stunning reception at the ever-glamorous Pfister hotel, and a bevy of wonderful vendors making it an event to remember. Gorgeous flowers, a rockin' dance floor, lots of love, and joyful tears. Congrats to the happy couple!

A very Happy Anniversary to these two rad humans - can't believe it's been a year already! 😍

Saturday, Jen and Rob tied the knot and had one hell of a party at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. I have NEVER had a Bride who smiled so much, and it was crazy clear these two are crazy nuts about each other. What a wonderful, beautiful fall day, and a ton of fun at one of Milwaukee's most energetic and colorful spots. Congrats, you two! Enjoy the sneak peek!
