Being behind the lens and seeing young Latinos step into spaces we once only dreamed of…it fills my heart with pride and purpose. 💛
As a first-gen Latina myself, I feel every story in these smiles. All the sacrifices, the hope and the prayers that carried us here.
In times like these, Latin@ presence matters more than ever. Our stories, our voices, our successes, they mean
WE BELONG HERE. We’ve earned this. And seeing my comunidad shine reminds me that this is only the beginning us!

This summer I had the privilege of photographing my friends in their new stage of life. Risa and Daniel trusted in me to take their winter pictures way back in 2020 with Juniper, then their engagement and now their first baby was on the way.
Baby Otto is so lucky to have Risa and Daniel as parents, just as I am lucky to have them as friends💖

Nobody really talks about the flood of emotions and endless questions that come after college graduation and the uncertainty of stepping into “real adulthood,” or the panic that sets in when people inevitably ask, “So, what’s next?” …….. Almost ten years ago, I walked through these same gardens and chapel doors proud to be finished, yet heavy-hearted knowing that a part of my identity as a student ended that day. That summer of 2016, I faced the post-grad blues head-on. One of my biggest regrets from that season was not having any professional photos taken to mark such a meaningful milestone. That absence is what eventually pushed me toward photography realizing just how important it is to capture moments we can never get back. Going back to St. Kate’s for Maria’s photoshoot felt both exciting and bittersweet. This place holds memories of some of the most stressful seasons of my life, but also the most incredible adventures I could have ever asked for.

As a new school year begins, I’m sending love to all of you whether you’re starting classes, sending your kids off to school, or navigating life as a recent grad. Wherever you are in your journey, you’ve got this. 💛

Each day, you reminds us that miracles do exist—and He works through you to strengthen our faith and perseverance. Even though we’ve faced moments of fear and uncertainty, Johan, you’ve lived each day with radiant smiles and unshakable strength. Your light inspires us all. And your mother—what an incredible woman. One of the most courageous, resilient, and inspiring souls I know. Her love, devotion, and strength are a reflection of God’s grace. There’s something incredibly special about photographing quinceañeras in the Catholic Church. It’s not just about the dress or the celebration—it’s the reverence, the quiet prayers, the feeling that God is right there, blessing her as she steps into a new chapter. Every time I’m behind the camera for one of these moments, I feel so honored. It reminds me why I love what I do—capturing faith, family, and tradition all woven into one beautiful story.

College is hard. But it’s also a place where you grow and you learn so much about yourself. You meet people that challenge you and enjoy being around the new person you are becoming. Capturing such a huge milestone for Maria was truly a treat! I’ve come to love capturing graduation photoshoots because I get to see the joy in my clients face as they wear their gowns and tassels so proud. Maria wanted me to capture her wearing different stoles. Each one of them holding a special meaning to her. The 1st: representing the University of Minnesota. 2nd: representing First Generation Students, 3rd: representing her Ecuadorian roots. Truly gushed through our entire session!🥹✨

You have brought so much joy to all of our lives. Your timing was perfect. God took the time to make each and every little thing about you to his image and perfection.

Cami, thank you for sending us the most beautiful butterfly from your heavenly garden. I miss you dearly and not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. Tia promises to take care of mi pequeña mariposa.
