Audrey...Edina Class of 2027 and the last of the four Davis kids that I have had the honor of photographing for senior photos and little bean photos over the years. I'm sure it has your mom in tears but I know you have the determination and get up and go to be ready to take on your senior year and head straight on to college with all that you bring on the ice. You've got it where it counts in spades, Audrey! From sunset in the fields to the docks of Lake Minnetonka, your senior portraits turned out to be beautiful and essentially Minnesota kid through and through.

She sure kicked off my season of senior portraits with a bang as we toured my favorite secret spots in Minneapolis for seniors who love wildflowers and fields right in the city.

Unpopular opinion, but I believe moms belong in senior photos. Not behind them. Not cropped out of the group text selfie. In the frame. The Class of 2027 rep team brought their moms under the crabapples this spring, and these portraits are the ones getting printed big.

16 years of photographing the Mowery family, and every single time, they remind me why I love what I do.

From tiny little beans to these beautiful girls, I’ve had the joy of watching their family grow, change and become more deeply themselves through each year. From playing in the snow to a session outside Allison's shop, Bluebird, and now naming birds and flowers in a meadow we've had lots of adventures together.

This is the part of photography that means the most to me: the relationships built over years, the stories held in each image and the artwork created not just for their walls, but for their hearts.

Mowery family, thank you for trusting me for all these years. It is such an honor to help preserve your love, your laughter and the beautiful chapters of your story.
