32 years ago today, Kent Hrbek played his final game for the Twins.

With the players' strike set to shut down the season just two days later, the homegrown slugger took the field against the Red Sox at the Metrodome for his last appearance in a Minnesota uniform. The Twins won the game 17-3, with Herbie going 1-for-5, while Kirby went 2-for-3 with two home runs and seven RBI.
