Spring is honestly one of my favorite times to photograph families. The light is soft, the colors are coming back, and even though schedules may be busy, the kids are in a groove. School routines, consistent bedtimes, predictable moods.

This season looks a little different for me, and I’m missing my mom more than ever. But I’m also so grateful to be a mom myself and to spend these days with my own kids.

Holding both the love and the loss, and soaking up every bit of this season I’m in.
