Sometimes I sit back, look at my own photography, and think… DAMN, I really took that shot?! 📸🔥😂

Not even trying to brag, but sometimes I genuinely amaze myself with what I can capture through a lens. The angles, the lighting, the composition, the timing… sometimes everything just comes together like magic.

Even after all these years behind the camera, I still get excited about my own work. And I think that's a beautiful thing. To still be able to surprise yourself doing something you've loved for so long is a blessing.

It's not arrogance. It's appreciating your own gift. 💯

And sometimes you gotta give yourself your own flowers! 💐

Caught this incredible sunset spilling across the Minneapolis skyline—pink, purple, orange, and gold stretching over the city like a painted canvas. Moments like this are why I love photography. Sometimes you don’t have to create the scene…you just have to be there when the light decides to show off.

CHICAGO — WHERE THE CITY MEETS THE WATER. 📸🌆

Cool Chicago fact: The Chicago River is famous for an incredible engineering feat — Chicago actually reversed the flow of the river in 1900. Instead of flowing into Lake Michigan, engineers redirected it away from the lake through a system of canals, helping protect the city’s drinking-water supply.

More than a century later, the river has become one of Chicago’s most recognizable sights — winding through downtown beneath historic bridges and between some of the most iconic architecture in the world.

From this view, you get it all: water, steel, history, architecture, and that unmistakable Chicago energy.

There’s something powerful about photographing a place built to preserve history while inspiring what comes next.

Standing in front of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, I was drawn to the architecture—the massive stone structure, the sharp lines, and the way it rises into the sky like a monument to possibility. Through my lens, it became more than a building. It became a reminder that our stories, our communities, and the moments we create today can leave an impact long after we’re gone.

Chicago will always give a photographer something to capture. Sometimes it’s the people. Sometimes it’s the streets. And sometimes, it’s history being built right in front of you.

There’s something powerful about a road that disappears into the distance.
Every curve, every intersection, every change in direction reminds us that the journey isn’t supposed to be a straight line. Sometimes the path shifts. Sometimes the light changes. Sometimes you have to stop, refocus, and wait for the signal to move again.
But you keep going.
Photography has taught me that perspective changes everything. What might look like an ordinary street to someone else can become a story when you slow down long enough to really see it. The tracks lead your eyes forward, the city rises around them, and that last burst of sunset reminds you that there’s always something beautiful waiting beyond where you are right now.
