This is Katie. 💜 She’s graduating from the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in the spring. (You should hear her sing!) 😍 her mom drove this Volkswagen van an hour and a half to my dad‘s place on the Chippewa river for dirt roads, a stream, and a screened in porch in the woods. I think the setting suits Katie perfectly. 😎

Sometimes things creep up on you and remind you of how long you’ve been here… 😬😎

Caden was one of the very first newborns I photographed when I was first getting my business off the ground. (At the time, his mom was a teacher at my daughter’s school when she was in 1st grade!) Over the years I went on to photograph the newborn sessions of his baby sister and three brothers, and many milestone and family sessions in between. (Scroll through my instagram feed and you’ll undoubtedly recognize them!)

I was so happy to be asked to capture his senior photo session—and I hope I did them justice! 💛💖

Here she is! My sweet, beautiful niece, Sophie! I met her and my sister at my dad’s place in Durand last night for this session and I hope she loves them! I think she looks gorgeous, but I’m not sure I’d have recognized her in some of these if I hadn’t taken them myself. 😭😭😭

I think I met Ella at her baby sister’s newborn shoot when she was around five but I can’t be entirely sure without asking her mom. In any event, It’s hard for me to believe that she is going to be a graduating senior this year (and that I am really as old as I am!)

She chose the State Capitol for the location, and she was such a great model; I hardly posed her at all!
