I worked with a few of the wrestling parents to put together a quick order for State Wrestling next week. Order your customizable wrestling signs by Wednesday at noon. Signs will be ready by Friday. Double sided signs are $20, and $5 from each sign will be donated to the Pohlen family to assist in anything they need towards Landon's recovery. Senior Spotlight: Adam | Minneota High School

Adam’s senior session was all about wide-open spaces and the outdoors he loves most. From golden fields to quiet tree lines, every stop reflected his easygoing spirit and connection to nature. We worked some fireworks in with the cousins, too!

Senior year is a big milestone, and Adam is flying through it with confidence, authenticity, and a sense of adventure that’s unmistakably his. Wishing him an incredible final year and all the best in the journey ahead! Go get 'em, Zip!

The Minneota Vikings Wrestling team punched their ticket to the state tournament with a pair of victories in the Section Final Four Saturday in Ortonville. Minneota defeated the KMS Saints 46-17 and secured the championship with a 47-17 victory of the Paynesville Bulldogs. Minneota returns to the State Tournament as a team for the first time since 2016. Congratulations, Vikings!

The top-seeded Minneota Vikings marched into the Section 5A semifinals with a commanding 63-6 victory over BOLD. The Vikings had 9 first period pins on the evening.

Beyond the scoreboard, the team is rallying around injured teammate Landon Pohlen, honoring him with “Landon Strong” shirts and messages of support. The Vikings advance to the section semi-finals Saturday in Ortonville.

The Minneota Vikings girls basketball team celebrated senior night by hosting the Lakeview Lakers. Seniors Sarah Gruenes and Madison Hennen were recognized before the game. Minneota comes out on top, avenging a loss to the Lakers earlier in the season. Vikings won 59-43.

Senior Spotlight: Easton | Minneota High School

Easton’s senior session was the perfect mix of strength and serenity.

On the field, he’s focused, competitive, and driven; but get him out in the fields or on the water and that’s where he’s truly at home. Hunting seasons, quiet lakes, early mornings… that’s Easton in his element.

We loved capturing both sides of who he is, an accomplished athlete with a deep connection to the outdoors. One chapter closing, a whole lot of adventure ahead.

I was able to pop into the Viking gym and catch a little bit of the girl's basketball game between the Minneota Vikings and YME Sting after the wrestling double-header. The Vikings girls came out with an 86-50 victory over the Sting. Congrats to YME's Bayli Sneller who scored her 1,000th career point. More pics will be posted to the activities page on my website.

The Minneota Vikings wrestling team celebrated senior night Thursday night with a couple of dual victories at home Thursday night. The Vikings took down the Windom Eagles 57-9 and finished off the evening with a 53-14 victory over the Pipestone Arrows. Here are a few quick shots from the evening. I'll post a link once the rest are done and uploaded to my website.
