I wasn't going to offer this, but you have all convinced me! I'm now offering newborn self-posed sessions where you're baby naturally poses themselves the entire time.

We've seen babies recently be able to lift their own heads and have started being able to do stuff earlier, so it's time to let them do it themselves!

-We won't need to worry about posing. Your little one will take full creative control.
-Since we won't have to do anything, every session will be 100% unique (of course mood depending).
-Perfect for parents who want a more 'authentic' experience and less time at a session.
-Guaranteed unpredictable results!

As always, I'm only accepting a limited number of these sessions this month ONLY!

But on a real note, my newborn sessions are always baby-led and relaxed. If you're expecting or need a milestone session, I'd love to chat.

Okay parents, let’s be real. Babies can be moody. Sometimes they’re angels, sometimes… not so much. Just like us, they have their days.

Milestone photos don’t have to be stressful though!

So here's some quick tips:
• Stick to your little one’s usual routine
• Bring a favorite toy or snack
• Dress them in comfy, simple outfits so it's easy to change for your session

Bonus: I personally guide you through everything during your session so it’s calm, fun, and actually enjoyable for everyone.

Something new is here for families celebrating their baby’s first year!

I’m opening a limited number of First Year Milestone Sessions for 30 days only! There's only a few spots, so you don't want to miss this!

These sessions are simple, timeless, and focused on your child so there's no overwhelming setups, just genuine moments and beautiful portraits you’ll love for years and to capture the chapter your little one is currently in.

Here’s what’s included:
• 30 minutes – 1 hour session
• 5 images included
• Milestone babies only (not available for newborns, though full sessions are available for them still)
• Family photos welcome
• Cake smashes allowed (parents provide cake)
• 2-3 Outfit changes (if time allows)
• Clean white or wooden backdrop + minimal setups
• Additional images available for purchase

Sessions begin at $500 and are only available from now until March 7th.

Ever wonder how 'Beanie Bear Photography' got its name? I've had some people think it was having to deal with products or the stuffed animals...but it doesn't at all!

Of course, you know nicknames tend to evolve over time. My daughters nickname started with Willow Bean (which I originally wanted to call my business, but of course it was taken) and then somehow transformed to Beanie Weanie. That's how I got the first part of my business' name. The bear part actually comes from my dad calling me Little Bear. So I essentially put them together, and that's how the name came to be.

I know, I know...it's not that interesting, but something I figured I'd still share. When I started this business, I knew I wanted to make a little tribute to the one who inspired me and my passion for capturing little ones and these chapters that go by so fast.

So... what kind of nickname do you have for your little one(s)? I'd love to hear the story behind them!

Does this make me old school?! I still believe in the power of good old-fashioned baby books to document milestones and memories.

In a world where everything lives on our phones, there's something special about slowing down and reliving these moments. Baby books become the place you return to years from now...where you and your little one can flip through it together, reread the stories, and remember the tiny details you'd end up forgetting.

These early days go by fast, bit the memories don't need to fade. Documenting them into something you can hold, see, and share, turns them into moments into something lasting.

I still need to finish mine and add printed photos! Of course time has gotten away from me. Luckily, it goes up to 5 years, I believe. Time to go print some memories!!!

Parents often ask: 'When should we book our newborn session?'

Ideally, while you're still pregnant! Here's why:
1) We can reserve a flexible date around your due date a few months before your little one is due.
2) You won't have to think about it during those sleep-deprived first days. Just make sure it's scheduled in your planner/calendar (even though I'll text you to remind you)!
3) We can plan your color palette and style preferences in advance so I make sure I have all the fabrics and props I need.

The best time for newborn photos is within the first 14 days. So basically when baby is still sleepy and curly!

Attention moms April or May 2026! You don’t wanna miss this tip for life at home with a new baby!

Have you heard of a baby care basket?

They’re a total lifesaver! I'm so glad I made myself one before my daughter was born. If you don’t have one prepped for your new baby, I highly recommend it!

Basically, it’s a portable storage container designed to hold all of the essential items needed for your newborn.

You can move it around with you from room-to-room so you always have everything you need for the baby within arms reach. It was such a lifesaver when I didn't want to go all the way to another room.

Most moms include things like:
-Extra diapers
-Wipes
-Diaper Cream
-Burp Cloths
-Pacifiers
-Ni**le Cream for Mom
-Maybe some Snacks for Mom
-And Anything Else You May Need!!!
