It’s with a heavy heart that I must close this studio. It’s been my work home for the last year, and I attribute it with giving me dye space to truly hone my Tintype craft. It’s very bittersweet, and in no way am I getting out of the Tintype process. I just couldn’t financially keep this place going with what is happening economically right now. I’ll be quiet on social media for a little while, but am looking forward to what the future will bring.

This was my last portrait I got to create before this self-quarantine was introduced. always has the best gaze for this format. Digging the hat and outerwear that made it into this frame that will last for centuries.

Who’s been drinking a bit more during this time? I know I have. I’m lucky my fiancé is a brewer at . This is a 5x7 Tintype of their Scottish Ale named “Kilt Dropper”. It’s deep amber color renders almost black like a stout in this format. This original plate is for sale at $200, and prints can be made in various sizes. DM me for details.

With my studio basically shut down, I needed to do something with my time, and chemistry. I’ve started shooting a few still life’s. Here’s one I did yesterday of a silver tea kettle, copper mug, and flower. Would be nice in any kitchen. The original and prints are available. DM me for details.

Ben and Elise have been wanting one of these for a while. Wednesday was the night. I’m so happy with how this 4x5 turned out. It really encompasses them, and just look at Elise’s hair, it’s amazing in all of its glory.
