My website got a little refresh! 💜

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about what I really want my work to say, and what matters most to me when I'm photographing a wedding.

Because every wedding has its own personality. Its own people. Its own traditions, emotions, hilarious moments, happy tears, dance floor shenanigans... its own energy.

And that's what I want you to remember when you look back at your photos.

The spirit and energy of YOUR wedding celebration.

So I gave my website a refresh to better reflect that, with new images, updated messaging, and a little more of me throughout, too. (Including, naturally, some cat content. 😂)

If you’ve ever worked with Liza at Skin Chic, you already know how much fun she is to be around. 💜

Liza is one of the amazingly talented estheticians at Skin Chic, and I’ve gotten to know her a bit over the years as she’s helped so many of my clients get camera-ready with beautiful makeup. She has the bubbliest, most infectious personality, and clients absolutely love her!

She recently came over to my studio for some updated portraits, and we had a blast working together! She’s also an incredible vocalist and the lead singer for local Missoula band Mudslide Charley!

Liza will be moving to Seattle next month, so there’s still time to get on her calendar before she leaves.

It’s always fun getting to photograph the people who are usually behind the scenes making everyone else look and feel amazing. 💜

What a day for Helena + Kade. 💜

These two started their wedding day with an intimate sunrise ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends, with the Mission Mountains as their backdrop. Later, everyone gathered at Kade’s parents’ beautiful home in Missoula for a reception full of love, laughter, and a VERY competitive co****le tournament. 😆

But this wedding was an especially meaningful one for me…

About six years ago, when photography was still just a hobby and I was working full-time in medicine, Helena’s mom asked if I’d be interested in taking her daughter’s senior photos. Helena became the very first person I ever photographed! I wasn’t entirely sure I knew what I was doing, but we had an absolute blast together, and that session helped set me on a path I never could have predicted at the time.

So when Helena asked me to photograph her wedding all these years later, it meant more to me than she probably realized.

I walked away at the end of the night feeling incredibly grateful that this is what I get to do. Congratulations, Helena + Kade. It was truly an honor to be there for this one. 💜

Jen + Brad were visiting Montana from Florida, and I had the chance to capture a few photos of them during their trip.

I absolutely loved that they embraced the Montana vibe with boots and cowboy hats. It couldn’t have fit the setting any better. 🤠

Beartooth Highway engagement photos? Yes, please!

Kaitlynn + Jack came home to Montana from Alabama for their engagement session, and what better place to celebrate than the Beartooth Highway?

The weather didn’t exactly cooperate with the golden sunset we were hoping for, but these two were absolute champs, braving the wind, rain, and even a little thunder for some amazing photos. The views were incredible, and we had a great time carpooling together over this iconic highway.

These high school sweethearts will be getting married in Red Lodge next spring, and after spending the evening with them, I know it’s going to be an incredibly special day. I can’t wait! 💜

Bryce + Cassie came all the way from Wisconsin for their Montana honeymoon, and while they were here, we explored Glacier National Park for a couples session in their wedding attire. 💜

We made our way to some of the park’s most iconic spots, spotted plenty of wildlife, and even had a mountain goat decide to join in on the fun with a photobomb. I’d call that a successful Glacier adventure!

Congratulations again, you two. Thanks for trusting me to help capture this special part of your honeymoon.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day? The dance floor. 💃🕺

Lili + Tristan’s family and friends absolutely brought the energy, and it was so much fun getting to capture all the laughs, dance moves, and unforgettable moments. These are the kinds of memories that make a wedding gallery feel complete and that I absolutely live to capture!

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah + Adam’s engagement session at Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge.

Sarah and Adam are both researchers at Rocky Mountain Laboratories. Sarah studies Ebola, and Adam studies influenza and innate immunity. To say they’re smarty pants would be an understatement.

Fortunately, no Ebola was contracted during the photo session... though I did spend some quality time editing out mosquitoes afterward and walked away with at least 15 bites myself (and counting)! 😅

I am very much looking forward to getting to know these two better over the coming year and celebrating with them again on their wedding day next June. 💜
