I had the BEST time going to Cedar City Utah last weekend to do a fantasy photoshoot for my best friends darling daughter. The sweet girl had a MAGIC birthday this year, turning 17 on the 17th of February and decided to party in style. Her incredible mother has a treasure trove of costumes and so a gaggle of teenagers showed up and decked themselves out in whatever fantasy costume made them feel the coolest. After, we galavanted off to a wooded park to sword fight, have a council meeting, lose a war, and suffer a queens death. It was as magical as it sounds. Here, with permission from all parents, is a sneak peek of these very cool teens. What this weekend taught me is this: being yourself amongst a bunch of like-minded people is exactly what every teenager needs. Only inclusion and love can foster this kind of acceptance. Happy birthday to Miss Bug. I hope you know how loved you are.
