If you hand your guests a fan that says, "Sorry for getting married in July. Thanks for sweating with us," you already know it's going to be a good day.

Alexandria and Daniel celebrated exactly the way they wanted to: surrounded by the people who matter most, sharing a beautiful dinner, heartfelt toasts, and so much joy.

One of my favorite moments? Daniel's son, Andrew, surprising everyone with the sweetest speech. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. And of course, no celebration would have been complete without one very excited golden retriever making a special appearance.

Every detail, from the classic blue and white palette to the incredible team of vendors working behind the scenes, came together to create a day that felt effortless, joyful, and completely true to them.

Congratulations to the Moores! 🥂 What an honor it was to tell your story.

Lucky because my work day is someone’s best day of their life. ✨

This July marks 11 years of Deborah Michelle Photography, and when I look back, I don’t think about the number of weddings I’ve photographed. I think about the people.

The joy of walking alongside my couples during their engagement season. Mapping out portrait timelines together. Cheering them on down the aisle as they start their forever.

Then, years later, celebrating families, anniversaries, and sometimes even mourning the loss of the people who once stood beside them.

Photography has always been about so much more than one day. It’s about preserving a story as it unfolds, chapter by chapter.

What an incredible privilege it has been to serve so many couples over the last 11 years. Thank you for trusting me with the moments you’ll never get back and the memories you’ll hold onto forever.

Every love story has a beginning. This one started six years ago at church.

On the first Saturday in July, surrounded by the people who have loved them every step of the way, Hannah Grace and Dalston promised each other forever.

There was so much joy woven throughout the day. The kind that comes from a room full of people who aren't just there to witness your wedding, but they've been part of your story all along.

It felt like the perfect way to begin a marriage: celebrating with family and friends, laughing until your cheeks hurt, and stepping into this new season hand in hand.

On a day known for celebrating freedom, Hannah Grace and Dalston gave everyone another reason to celebrate! Congrats Mr. + Mrs. Grisham! 🎉

What a joy it was to capture their love story.

The best wedding days don't follow a formula.

They tell a story.

Surrounded by 50 of their closest family and friends overlooking the Magic City, Lita and Connor created a wedding day that was unmistakably them.

Lita is one of the most thoughtful people you'll ever meet, and it showed in every detail. She wore her great-great-great grandmother's bluebirds, a family heirloom also worn by her mother and sister on their wedding days. Vintage postcards from her personal collection became their guest book for loved ones to sign, and even the cake topper was a thrifted treasure she found along the way. Every detail was carefully chosen because it meant something.

Connor's one request was that the celebration reflect his Louisiana roots. As Lita and Connor made their way into the reception, family and friends twirled second line napkins, setting the tone for a night full of laughter, dancing, and celebration.

His other non-negotiable? An ice cream bar. Trust me, it was a hit!

Together, they created a wedding that reflected who they are: thoughtful, joyful, and surrounded by the people they love most.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Lunney! Thank you for trusting me to tell your story. 🤍

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck...well, the Farleys just secured enough good luck for generations to come. ✨

And when I say rain, I don't mean a cute little sprinkle. I'm talking lightning, thunder, pouring rain, and flash flood warnings. But if you asked Kaitlin and Mac? They'd probably just smile. They rolled with every punch the weather threw their way and never let it steal a second of their joy.

The day began with a quiet morning getting ready alongside her favorite girls, a first look while raindrops tapped the windows, portraits on the front porch, and a quick dash into the church under umbrellas.

By cocktail hour, the skies had cleared, the breeze was perfect, and the celebration was in full swing. Friends gathered, glasses were raised, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Farley! 🥂 Thank you for reminding us that the best wedding days aren't the ones that go exactly as planned. They're the ones where you choose joy anyway.

The Night Before with Kaitlin + Mac

There’s something so special about the night before the wedding.

Rehearsal dinners are full of the stories and happy tears that make a wedding weekend so memorable. You get to hear from the people who have known the couple the longest, meet college friends traveling in from all over, and watch the anticipation build for the day ahead.

I love getting to document these moments just as much as the wedding itself.

Can I get a Roll Tide, Roe?! ❤️🐘

Congratulations to Lindsey and Quinn on the sweetest Summer wedding day in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

These two are truly the perfect match. University of Alabama alumni, accountants, lifelong Crimson Tide fans, and now officially husband and wife. From the houndstooth details to the touches of crimson woven throughout the day, every part of their celebration felt uniquely them.

But beyond all the Alabama traditions and personal details, what stood out most was the joy. The way they looked at each other, the excitement of their family and friends, and the genuine happiness that filled every moment made this day so special to witness.

It was an honor to tell the beginning of this next chapter for the Roes. And a huge shoutout to the incredible team at Posh Occasions for bringing every detail together so beautifully.

After more than a decade of photographing weddings, I can confidently say I’ve seen just about everything. 📸

There was a time when a timeline running five minutes behind would have me internally spiraling. Now? I’ve learned that wedding days are living, breathing things. Sometimes they unfold exactly as planned, and sometimes they don’t.

Rain in the forecast? We’ll pivot.

The flower girl refuses to walk down the aisle? It happens.

A family dynamic that’s a little complicated? Let’s just say I’ve earned a degree in psychology at this point.

The truth is, being a wedding photographer isn’t just about taking beautiful photos. It’s about anticipating moments, solving problems before they become problems, and helping everyone stay calm when the unexpected pops up.

So yes, I can absolutely go with the flow these days. But that’s only because I’ve spent years studying the flow, understanding the flow, and learning how to make sure your day still feels effortless no matter what comes your way.

And honestly? Working alongside my couples and their incredible vendor teams to create the best experience possible is one of my favorite parts of the job. 🫶🏼

A backyard hometown wedding surrounded by the people who love you most? That's hard to beat.

Anne Burt and Tuff's wedding day was calm, joyful, and filled with thoughtful touches from the people closest to them. The bride and her mom created all of the florals and decorations, family friends helped bring everything together, and even a little rain shower couldn't slow anyone down.

One of my favorite moments was their front porch first look. Sweet, simple, and so perfectly them.

Days like this are a reminder that the most meaningful weddings aren't about perfection. They're about people. And Anne Burt and Tuff were surrounded by some really wonderful ones.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Smith! What a joy it was to celebrate alongside you. 🎉
