the bride isn’t the only one who deserves a fashion moment on the wedding day.
if you’re getting married in 2027, let’s talk about what the groom is wearing.
because let’s be real, a lot of guys don’t wear suits very often. and when it’s time to pick out a wedding outfit, knowing where to start can feel a little overwhelming.
i was looking through vogue’s guide to groom fashion, and these are four styles i’d keep an eye on for 2027.
01. brown-on-brown tailoring
think rich chocolate and espresso tones instead of the traditional black or navy suit. especially beautiful for fall weddings, outdoor estates, and warmer wedding color palettes.
02. double-breasted jackets
a structured, tailored silhouette that feels timeless but still fashion-forward. the fit makes all the difference here.
03. personalized accessories
brooches, heirloom watches, custom embroidery, or meaningful details that make the outfit feel personal. sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest statement.
04. the second look
who says only the bride gets an outfit change? a classic black tuxedo for the ceremony and an ivory dinner jacket for the reception can be such a good combination.
but here’s what i’d encourage every groom to remember:
you don’t have to follow every trend.
find something that complements your wedding, fits you properly, and makes you feel confident.
because the goal isn’t just to look good in your wedding photos. it’s to feel like yourself on one of the biggest days of your life.
brides, save this for when you start suit shopping. and if you know a 2027 groom, send it his way. 🤍
