This picture is from the time I went on a 5 day backpacking trip to a remote gorge in Northern California earlier this summer. I’m also glad .wall had no problem laying out a back flip off this cliff because I lost a toe nail just trying to step down to it. I think that just says a lot about how clumsy I am 😅

Anyways I decided to post something ‘different’ for - much more content on the way. About to head to Texas for a wedding and it’ll be my first time flying. Super stoked!

Sunshine this time of year in the PNW isn’t something I’ll take for granted. Thankfully I have amazing friends who typically feel the same. Went for my longest hike over the weekend. Ended the day at over 14+ miles round trip, nearly 5K in elevation gain and with a fat smile. It felt very rewarding to set a 3 hour goal to reach the mountain peak (second highest point in the Gorge). We crushed that goal with plenty of energy in reserve. This might be my last hike for a couple months, but that’s only because it’s mountain climbing season 😝🏔🗻

One of my favorite photos (even though Nick captured it with an Android) of one of my all time favorite adventures. The warmth in this photo has me wishing for consistent, warm sunny days again. Then again, I live in the PNW so that’s pretty rare 😂 Fingers crossed I don’t have any issues with getting permits in Central OR this year.
We have some sun in the forecast for Sunday and I couldn’t be more stoked! Fresh pow on Mount Hood Saturday followed by a sunny day... yeah looks I’ll be snowboarding all weekend.

I know some people love this rain in the PNW and I do too. I just love the warm sunshine more. Sorry I haven’t been posting a lot. I’ve been either working, working out, or snowboarding which means less photos. I can’t complain though. All this rain meant that much more snow in the mountains. 2020 is off to a great start and I couldn’t be more excited to be on the beach in a T-Shirt and shorts again. But in the meantime, I’ll be loving the s**t out of this winter ❄️

I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. I’m thankful for those who served our country so I have the freedom to explore this beautiful land. Staring at these dreamy mountains wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you Veterans.

Fall is such a beautiful season but still my least favorite of the four. That’s how lucky I am to live in the PNW. I love the changing colors but Fall just can’t match the vibes and warmth of summer, the beautiful white powder in the winter, or the blooming plants and extravagant colors in the spring. I’m thankful to be able to experience all four seasons, without any of them getting too extreme. What’s your favorite season? 🌲🌲
