I lost count of how many times I said “are you kidding me?!” over this sweet girl during their session 🥹 She had me and her parents absolutely gushing over her the entire time. Gus, on the other hand, might still be deciding how he feels about this whole big brother thing 😂🐶 But he was just as sweet!

This session almost didn’t happen. 😅

It was Fourth of July weekend, and when Maya arrived before me, she was told the beach was closing early for the festivities. Cue my internal panic… because one of my biggest fears as a photographer is showing up to a location only to find out Plan A isn’t an option anymore. 😬

When I got there, I was told the same thing that “the beach was closing and cars would start getting towed around 8:00.”So I politely turned on the charm, promised we’d be quick, and asked if there was any way we could squeeze in one sunset session. Thankfully, they gave us the green light!!

We definitely raced the clock, but wow… was it worth it. We caught the most beautiful sunset, made it out before the tow trucks, and left with grateful hearts!

Some sessions stay with you forever.

This was my second time working with Tuesday and her family. They came all the way from Dallas for a beach session. What Tuesday didn’t know was that Rick had called me a few days beforehand to let me in on the biggest secret… he was going to propose after 10 years together!!

Y’all… keeping that secret while making casual conversation for an hour deserves an award. 😂🤐

As we got to the final few photos, Rick started saying the sweetest things. He was getting emotional, nerves started to show, and right in the middle of it all, Tuesday looked at him and said, “What… are you proposing?” 😂 I couldn’t help but laugh, “That is SUCH a Tuesday comment.”

A few seconds later… he got down on one knee.

The only people who knew were me and their daughter. Everyone else was completely shocked! Total success!💍✨

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. Getting a front row seat to stories like this is something I’ll never take for granted. Congratulations, you two!

One of the greatest gifts of this job is not just capturing families, but getting to witness them grow. Watching mom and dad move through different seasons, seeing babies change right before our eyes, and cheering them on long after the session ends.

Time moves so fast, and I’m always honored to freeze just a little piece of it.

This one hit close to home for me.
I’m a mother of five, and I’ve watched my own mom walk through a cancer battle, so standing in this space felt deeply personal.

Madalyn and I are close in age. She’s a friend. And her faith is something I truly look up to.
Watching Jared, her husband lay hands on her and pray, surrounded by their children, was one of the most powerful reminders of what love and belief look like in the hardest seasons.

This was more than a session.
It was sacred. It was humbling. It was hope in real time.

I’m incredibly honored to witness and preserve moments like this.

Closing out the year feeling incredibly grateful. Thankful for every client who trusted me this year, new connections and familiar faces! I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for my business and all the moments we’ll capture together.
