l there is an undeniable quality to a well-crafted black and white image that is not matched by any other medium. The best black and white photos have an evocative and emotive quality that is difficult to define but impossible to deny. Perhaps it is the very lack of color that makes these images transcend our everyday experience and become something more remote, mystical, universal. It was a beautiful afternoon for an al fresco concert hosted by Outport in the Burbs and The Van Vleck House and Gardens. Joe Allocco opened the show with his intricate guitar work. Singer/songwriter Shannon McNally brought a little bit of Nashville with her, with a fine mix of originals and covers. Her beautiful voice exudes country!
