em most days. Big, small, old, young, nice, rude, I love them all! They tend to like me too. As for families, which includes pets... I enjoy capturing little moments in great lighting. I do on location shoots all around Santa Barbara. And of course weddings. This beautiful day is safe with me! I have very competitive rates, and a lot of experience to back it up. Santa Barbara has seen more rain in the last couple of months than I can actually remember in my lifetime (I’m from here!), with lots of big downpours. This has resulted in this beautiful lake being quite full, which adds a welcome magic to a sunset engagement session in the park! I just love the combo of wild foreground and sparkly background, and OF COURSE a sweet, down to earth couple who’s madly in love, and their dog.

This was definitely one of my favorite sessions from last year, and my third time working with this couple - engagement, wedding, maternity (and next comes the baby in the baby carriage?) I really can’t put into words how special it is to be the one capturing these core life moments, for my photos to adorn your walls and memory books.

I have been wanting to put this wedding up since... 2022! Ha! That’s just nuts to me. 2023 was my busiest business year ever, and then I had a baby, and time entered some sort of vortex. But here’s to tiny accomplishments - it’s finally on the blog! And here, for you! ⁠

Adoptable puppies!!

Recently I visited a friend’s house ( ) while she was fostering 12 (TWELVE) rescued pups AND their mama! I came back with my camera, and what ensued was complete. chaos. Sooo many puppy teeth! I created a most adorable flower basket set-up which was demolished within seconds. No puppies were harmed in the making of these photos of course, but I can’t say the same for my heels or sandals, and one basket didn’t make it. But I managed to snap a few shots which I do consider miracles!⁠

As soon as I was done of course they were calm and ready for their naps. And I did steal some snuggles from one or two, and those little puppy breaths... sigh. ⁠

Why hello 2026! Oh are you leaving, 2025? We barely got to chat! Wait 2024’s gone too?! Feeling all spun around at this New Year’s party. But I hope to be more of a regular in your feed this year! I have no actions I plan to take, just hope and motivational thoughts.⁠

For now please enjoy some getting ready shots from one of many lovely weddings I was honored to photograph last year. I love catching these moments, especially between mom and daughter. There’s always such soft, supportive energy.

Summer arrived early for me this year, with this spectacular, tennis-themed morning wedding in Indian Wells! Kate & Chris met playing tennis, and their passion for the sport led them to scheduling their wedding day during the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, a few tears (dads crying during toasts always gets me choked up!) and so much love and kindness.⁠

Just a girl and her family, living their mini-farm dream life! ⁠

This was such a fun and special session. Amanda cuts my hair, did my wedding hair, does my mom’s hair. So I heard the stories about each new animal she brought home. First some chickens, then a pig, then some goats, mini horses, and it kept growing and growing... after a while I couldn’t say “bring the animals to your session” anymore because that would be impossible. So I said “can I come visit??” ⁠And it was all I could do not to turn into a little kid myself and chase the animals around until they accepted my friendship and hugs.⁠

And these photos were made into the best Christmas card I got last year!
