This session was such a good one. Beautiful light, gorgeous curls, flowers, a little movement, and so many genuine laughs. Kenzie made this one way too easy.

I had such a hard time narrowing these down because there are so many favorites from her senior session. 🤍

Kenzie — I hope senior year gives you a million reasons to laugh this hard, a few good adventures, and memories you’ll still talk about years from now. Go make it a good one. 🫶

Senior pictures should feel like you. If they don’t then I did something wrong 😑

And when duck hunting is your thing… you get the waders on, grab the shotgun and decoys, and get in the water. 🦆

The stormy Minnesota sky showed up at exactly the right time for this one, and I don’t think we could have planned it any better.

These are easily some of my favorite images from Miles’ senior session. Absolutely EPIC, but that my opinion 😉.

Miles | Class of 2027 🎓

What an amazing senior session with Miles!

We had so much fun with the track portion of his session, and he absolutely killed it. This was my first time really jumping into action shots along with the dramatic sports portraits, and I am SO happy with how these turned out! 🔥 I used three lights with the action ones and a one light with the stills. 😅

We did some other portraits too with some of his favorite hobbies and I will post those later. 🫶

This is why I love family sessions. 🤎

Ya know the posed portraits are beautiful, of course. But it’s everything that happens in between that gets me every time — the belly laughs, the little looks, the hugs, the way dad holds his girls, and the way mom looks at the people she loves most.. omg I love it..
Because someday, these won’t just be photographs.

They’ll be a reminder of exactly what this season of life felt like.

And these two little girls? They absolutely stole the show. 🥹

I know nobody wants to hear the word winter yet 😂 but I’m actually pretty excited about what I’m doing in the studio this winter!

Starting January 1st through April 30th, any one-hour studio session is $300. And when I say any session, I mean it. Family, maternity, couples, kids, milestones, updated family pictures, just because you want some new pictures… whatever you want to use your hour for.

You’ll get 20+ fully edited, digital images from your session.

And we definitely don’t have to spend the whole hour standing in front of one backdrop. These are “up to” one hour.

I have a lifestyle area with a couch and bed where we can get more of those relaxed, natural pictures. Or we can completely change things up and go with a more traditional studio look. I have rustic backdrops, spring setups, more elegant wall backdrops, along with my big seamless paper backdrops.

For the large seamless backdrops I currently have evergreen, sage green, white, gray, crayon blue, tulip pink and black. I also have some smaller colors for kids and individual portraits, including tan and purple.

We can keep your whole session one look, or change things up throughout your hour. That’s completely up to you.

Honestly, that’s one of my favorite things about having the studio. We can make it cozy, simple, bright, dark and dramatic, colorful… whatever fits you.

Client loyalty deserves a little love. ❤️

I’ve been thinking about doing something special for the clients who continue to choose Novel Images year after year.

When you keep coming back to me for your family photos, milestones, seniors, maternity sessions and all those chapters in between, that means a lot to me. You’re trusting me over and over again to photograph your people and your memories, and I want that loyalty to come with a little something in return.

So I’m going to start offering a returning-client discount to my loyal NIPP families. ❤️

This is something specifically meant to reward those who continue to choose Novel Images as their photographer. Of course, you’re always free to use another photographer and there are absolutely no hard feelings if you do, but your returning-client discount would simply reset.

I think loyalty should go both ways. You keep choosing me to document the people you love, and I’ll keep finding little ways to show you how much I appreciate you choosing me. ❤️

There’s just something about seeing your family on the walls of your home.

Not tucked away on a phone or sitting in a gallery you haven’t opened in six months, but right there where you see them every day.

And I think about the kids, too. Growing up in a home where they see themselves in these pictures, with Mom, Dad, their siblings and knowing, this is my family. This is where I belong.

Years from now these pictures are going to hit a whole lot differently than they do today.. trust me.

Every Novel Images client has access to professional, heirloom-quality prints and wall art right through their online gallery. Because as much as I love taking your pictures, I really love the thought of them becoming part of your home.

Just don’t take the pictures… live with them. 🫶
