Sometimes they will last a split second, sometimes the laughter is infectious, and sometimes we do lots of silly and crazy things, but it is so worth it ❤
When we work together and you buy into my crazy shenanigans and silly ideas, it is so much fun!

I am beyond excited that one of my images earned Best of Show at the Iowa State Fair Photography Salon!

The image was taken at the Iowa State Fair last year during the Cowboy Mounted Shooting event, so it feels a little like a full circle moment.

Earning Best of Show at the state fair has been one of my goals since I started entering over a decade ago.

I'm not always one to toot my own horn, even though I play the saxophone 😉, but this is a huge accomplishment and I wanted to share ❤

I also earned a third place with my youngest son playing in the mud, and have a bull riding image on display.

There are SOOO many incredible images each year at the state fair and to find out that my image spoke to the judges in such a way makes me feel so honored ❤

I'm so excited to be a part of the first Art in the Park in Monticello this Saturday, August 22!

I will have a variety of images to share and can't wait to see all of the artwork!
There will be music, food, art and more at the beautiful Riverside Gardens.

Senior sessions are in full swing and I can't believe school is right around the corner!
That Iowa humidity was out in full force again for this session, but Alayna did amazing!
We also created several meaningful images to show her love for her grandpa ❤
I love it when we can create images with those personal touches.
