After a long stretch of rescheduled senior sessions due to the heat, we finally got back out to the streets last night for some fun! Here are a few favorites from our time with Carter! Not picture... the 1500 mayflies I edited out of these photos. 🤪

Amanda and I spent an evening last week with the Sand Family at their beautiful home on Big Fish Lake in Cold Spring. This extended family session was long overdue and most of this family traveled in from all over the midwest to make it happen! We didn't let the smoky skies or the extremely steamy weather stop us from having a ton of fun with this crew! Thanks Sand Family for all of the fun and for trusting us with these memories!

I think 2026 is going to be the year of boys and their boats! We have a full schedule of senior guy sessions this year and almost all of them just so happen to be on the bass team! We kicked things off with Thomas last week. It was a perfect MN summer evening, full of fun, and we ended at a place we both happen to love — at the lake. Thanks for the fun Thomas!

(And special shout out to Thomas’s dad, Mark, for being the boat captain in the choppy water. You get an A+ for navigation and for ducking down just in time for me to get the shot!)

I had a chance to spend an evening with the Molitor Family last summer. We've worked with them many times over the years, but this family session reminded me why I love photographing families the way I do. Emma!! What a way to kick off our summer sessions!! We dodged some rain, embraced the breeze, and chased the sunset! I had a ton of fun with you! Thanks for hanging out with Amanda Hommerding | MN + WI Wedding Makeup Artist and me!

Emma’s entire senior session wardrobe was from sorted boutiques! She took our advice and scheduled a style consultation with their team and found everything (clothes, shoes, and jewelry) for her session all in one stop! Each outfit was perfection. Thank you Jaida and the Sorted team for always taking great care of our clients!

We’re kicking off Class of 2027 senior sessions tonight, and I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t wait to get back out there and spend the next few months photographing another great group of seniors. Let’s do this, 2027!

It’s graduation week for many of our Class of 2026 seniors and we want to send the biggest congratulations to all of you!! 🎓 Be young, be foolish, and be happy! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for each and every one of you!

The amount of photography horror stories we hear from new clients is honestly kind of wild 😅

No outfit help.
No hair and makeup.
No session planning.
And definitely no help figuring out what to do with the photos afterward.

Just 700 images and a “good luck to you”.

We’ve built our experience really different on purpose.

From planning your session to helping you actually enjoy your photos after, we’re here for a lot more than just clicking a camera.

Having great photos taken matters.
But so does the experience of getting them.

You deserve better, and we’d love to make it happen. :)

My family moved to the lake when I was 3 (where are my Little Birch Lake peeps at?!) so any time a senior asks to go to the lake, river, pond, or even run through a puddle - it’s a solid yup from me!

Class of 2027 - i’d love to plan something fun together. Even more so if it ends at the water!
