SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: featuring Lydia!

We were able to sneak into one of my favorite flower fields this summer and catch it before the flowers were gone, and I’m so glad we did!

Such a fun session with the sweetest girl. Lydia was game for all of my ideas, which always makes my photographer heart happy. Walk through the flowers? Absolutely. Lay right down in them? Sure did!

She made it all look effortless, and we ended up with SO many gorgeous photos. Definitely one of those sessions where everything just came together perfectly.

There’s something about these Mooresville girls! 💙
I have had the sweetest seniors from there, and Karlie was so much fun to photograph.

I loved how excited she was for her session from the very beginning. She was up for anything, we laughed a lot, and everything just came together so easily. Beautiful girl, beautiful location, beautiful light, what more could I ask for?!

I seriously have SO many favorites from this session. It was hard to narrow down to post.

THROWBACK THURSDAY — Senior Edition: featuring Cody!

All my senior sessions are special to me, and this one was no exception. Cody’s mom and I talked about these photos ALL year long, so by the time senior photo time finally rolled around, I think we were both more than ready. 😂

I photographed Cody’s older brother, Austin, for his senior photos years ago, followed by family photos, and then it was finally Cody’s turn. I absolutely love when I get to come back and capture another big milestone for the same family.

And you know I was ALL IN when we decided to incorporate baseball into his senior photos. We filled the dugout with jerseys from throughout the years — all the teams, seasons and memories that got him to senior year. Baseball field senior photos will forever be some of my favorites, and these definitely did not disappoint.

And of course, we had to sneak in a few with his cheerleader girlfriend while we were there! 💙💛

Then we switched things up for another session in Downtown Mooresville, giving us a completely different look and even more favorites. There’s just something about getting to tell the whole story of senior year.

THROWBACK THURSDAY — Senior Edition: featuring Ashlyn!

Ashlyn is one of my favorite girls and truly one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet, and these photos deserve to be seen!

This was senior session #2 for Ashlyn, and I was SO excited to get her in front of my camera again, especially at one of the coolest locations. The old brick, huge windows, gorgeous light and all that character made the perfect backdrop.

We also snuck her boyfriend into a few at the end because why not?!

Such a fun way to celebrate this sweet girl and the end of her senior year. 🤍

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: featuring Addison!

I’ve been patiently waiting for this one. And yes… there’s a little bit of a backstory here. 🤍

You see, I’ve been photographing Addison since she was in her momma’s belly.

Way back in my Illinois photography days, she was actually the very first baby to be part of my “Baby Steps” program. I photographed her every three months throughout her first year, followed by many, MANY years of family photos after that. Even after I moved to North Carolina, this gorgeous family has continued to get in front of my camera almost every time I head back to Illinois for sessions.

So when I tell you that getting to photograph her senior pictures felt a little surreal… it did.

And then they made it even more special by driving all the way from Illinois to North Carolina for her first senior session! We met up at the most beautiful botanical gardens and waterfall and spent the afternoon creating these.

Addison has grown into such a beautiful young woman with this quiet confidence about her that I absolutely love. Watching these babies grow up through my camera is one of the sweetest parts of doing this for as long as I have.

And yes, I may or may not have teared up a little thinking about the fact that somehow we went from baby pictures to senior pictures. 🥹

SENIOR SUNDAY: featuring Ailey!

And just like that… we’re officially kicking off the Class of 2027 Senior Sundays!

Starting off this amazing class with Ailey, and WOW did her session set the bar.

She showed up ready for anything, trusted me completely, and we had SO much fun creating these. From the tall grass and gorgeous golden light to that floral dress that was basically made for this location, the whole session was just GOLD.

Ailey is absolutely stunning, but even better, she has the sweetest personality and was so easy and fun to photograph. This was one of those sessions where I could have just kept going and going.

If this is how we’re starting the Class of 2027, I have a feeling it’s going to be a pretty incredible year. 🤍
