☀️It was a comfortable 84 degrees today as we wrapped up another successful First Responder Drones for 3D Models class at RCCC.

🚨A big thank you to all the pilots who participated and helped make the day a success. During the course, students learned how to document and recreate a traffic accident scene using drones, then transform the captured aerial imagery into accurate 3D models using industry leading software.

💯Great work by everyone involved as we continue advancing public safety drone operations through hands on training and real world applications.

As a DJI user and longtime fan, this is really interesting to see. It looks like the FBI has a DJI M30T sitting on the table. I was under the impression federal agencies could only operate NDAA-compliant drones because of the national security concerns surrounding DJI. Curious what everyone’s thoughts are on this.

Their technology integrates live with CalTopo during large scale search and rescue missions, helping improve coordination, tracking, and real-time situational awareness in the field.
