Why the Studio

There's just something about a studio portrait.

The simple backdrop. The light. The lack of distractions. The way it lets the person in the photograph be the focus.

These Personality Portraits are a perfect example of why I love photographing in the studio. Even though I'm not planning another Personality Portraits event, these images are still such a good representation of the kind of portraits I love creating.

Fall is officially right around the corner, and things are about to get busy around here.

My last Heirloom Session of the year is coming up September 12, and Santa sessions launch tomorrow.

If you've been waiting to book something before the holidays, now is the time to start planning, since I will be out by the end of this month on maternity leave.

A lot is happening over the next few months, and I'm so excited about what's ahead.
