Capturing love stories is my life’s work, but West Virginia always reminds me to slow down and appreciate the view. 🤍✨

As a wedding photographer, my days are filled with fast paced moments, grand celebrations, and the beautiful chaos of a couple's biggest day. I absolutely love what I do, there is nothing quite like freezing those once in a lifetime memories in time. 📸✨

But lately, I’ve been reminded of how important it is to step back, look around, and truly appreciate the incredible surroundings we have right here in the Mountain State. From the rolling hills and quiet mountain mornings to the breathtaking scenic overlooks, West Virginia has a unique way of forcing you to press pause and find joy in the little things.

Whether I’m scouting the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding, capturing an intimate engagement session, or just taking a quiet drive through our beautiful local landscapes, I am constantly inspired by the natural beauty around us. 🌲🌅

To all my future couples, local vendors, and friends.....don't forget to take a moment today to step outside, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy the little things. We truly live in a spectacular place.

As a small business owner (who pours her heart and soul in), I wanted to share a little perspective on photography pricing because I know sometimes people only see the final gallery and not everything that goes into it.

For a sport event, I photographed over 6,000 images and currently have 150+ hours invested between shooting, culling, editing, organizing, uploading, customer service, and delivery. That doesn’t include the years of experience it took to learn lighting, posing, workflow, and how to consistently deliver quality images.

There are also business expenses behind the scenes: professional camera equipment, lenses, computers, editing software, storage, insurance, travel, taxes, licensing, and continuing maintenance/replacements…. Oh and I’ve gotta feed my cats bc they be cray.

So when someone asks for 50+ edited photos for $100–$200, that simply isn’t sustainable (do the math 🧐) for a legitimate business. My pricing reflects the time, skill, quality, and costs required to provide polished professional images that families can treasure for years.

I truly appreciate every client who supports small businesses and understands the value behind the work. Your support allows creatives like me to keep doing what we love while delivering the best experience possible.

Kristen + Tyler literally Googled “pretty places to get married” last year and landed on Coopers Rock State Forest as the dream spot for their intimate, family-only destination elopement.

Plot twist… the overlook was closed for renovations and was supposed to reopen in April… but was still closed. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Cue the Friday whirlwind of backup plans, rerouting, and a little chaos.

But as always, love had other plans — and somehow everything came together more perfectly than we could’ve imagined. ✨

Cannot wait to share more from this absolutely gorgeous wedding day! 🤍
