Hey friends! We are just under a week left of summer and it sure has been a crazy one for me. There’s too many details for me to gush over on a single post, but it was a summer of many new adventures!..

Let’s go all the way back to January!
I had the most incredible opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people and musicians I’ve ever met! thank you so much for many things: inspiring me with your music and performances, for asking me to be a part of a vision you have, and for being a part of my growth as a photographer. I learned so much more about working with multiple subjects during this photo shoot and I hope to keep using that knowledge!

I’ve been experimenting with facials a lot lately and I wanted to post this small series that I did! It can be hard, conveying to a subject how to pose an expression. So I practice expressing facials myself, to give examples, along with bettering my language as a photographer.
If you look at all five of these [different] photos, you can see slight changes in how I hold my head, the height of my eyebrows, the shape of my mouth, and changes to my hair. All five pictures are suitable for, say, a profile picture 😉 but ultimately the center photo is the look I was going for!
There’s also a lot to say here about the ‘post-photoshoot’ process. But I will leave it at this: picking the best shots takes intent analyzing but is worth the time and effort in the end!
