Let's be realistic! As a busy mom, just getting your family out of the house is hard!
And for family photos now you also need to make sure everyone looks presentable, everyone's hair is brushed, and that your little one just didn't mess up their outfits by squeezing the apple sauce pouch just a little too hard! LOL!
I know these things because I've been there! This photo is from one of our first professional family shoots ever. I stressed about all of the things. The outfits. The location. Whether or not my kids would behave. But in the end I realized that if you have the right photographer for you (like I did) you really don't need to worry about very much at all.
When I look at this photo now, I don't remember the stress. I remember a fun evening together as a family. My youngest was 5 here, and one thing I wish I had done was schedule family photos sooner. I kept waiting for the "right time" and the "right age."
The truth is, there really isn't a perfect moment.
The little seasons we're living in right now—the messy ones, the loud ones, the ones that sometimes feel overwhelming—are the ones we'll miss someday.
So if you've been waiting for everything to be just right before getting in front of the camera, consider this your reminder that your family is already worth remembering, exactly as you are today. ❤️
