Editing this aspen leaf soaked in raindrops, I was wrapping up and noticed the yellow leaf and raindrops weren't as crisp as I would have wanted. Imperfection...just roll with it...

Clouds add so much more to a photo..as in this partial infrared shot at Great Sand Dunes National Park. Coupled with the shadows from the lower sun angle, there's a shroud of adventure in this shot.

Hiking in the early morning hours, we caught this dew halfway between water and ice; the structure in the dew is amazing!

Love this quote coupled with the infrared (IRChrome) image from a hike in Idaho. The quote is a simple reflection into how daily life is viewed only through our eyes.... Can you challenge yourself to view it through someone else's eyes? :)

Hiking is a meditation and a practice in, simply, observing. The wonder events you can witness along a hike are immeasurable!

On a quick backpacking trip to the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho, I turned around early in the hike to see the valley open up from where the trail began. Quickly, I found a good foreground subject and patiently waited for the nearby group of hikers to disband before grabbing this shot. Not many shots come out in the full daylight sun, especially in June, but was lucky with this one...and of course, some editing to bring the foreground out a smidge...:)

I like the solidarity of these types of shots...Virginia creeper in infrared...with the ghostly paleness and slight tints of blue.
