I had an amazing experience Friday as I was able to attend the Tall Ships of the World descending on New Orleans before they head to New York! Incredible ships from ports all over the world!

"New Orleans will be the first stop as America welcomes the tall ships of the world to the Port of New Orleans for a nationwide celebration of America's 250th anniversary! "

I feel very fortunate to be able to see and tour these majestic boats.

I drove over to The Lucky Rabbit to see their annual classic car show. I didn't get a lot of photos before the rain moved in, but these two were my favorites! That 1986 Toyota 4Runner is a very nice ride and I learned some things about it that i wasn't aware of after speaking with the owner. Very cool. That 1967 Chevy C10 of course is one of my dream vehicles to own.. one day!

I'm currently at work in the Gulf and this is our neighbor to the West. It's the M/V Sevan Louisiana. It's one of two sister ships and the only two ships I've ever seen that are round. Very cool drill ship. Google Sevan Louisiana and you'll see a lot of photos of it online. Very cool..

This may be weird, but this photo, that I shot Sunday afternoon in North Mississippi, around Greenville I think, may be my favorite photo that I've shot in quite a while. It's just an abandoned house in a field, but as soon as I saw this scene as I drove by, it reminded me of photos from some of my favorite photographers that shoot old abandoned buildings out west and along Route 66.

It's simple, but to me, speaks volumes. Photos contain stories and I wish I knew all the stories from this one.

I'm driving backroads in Arkansas today when I see this scene. My first thought was, somebody traded a plane for some m**h. My second thought was, I wonder who this m**h kingpin was. My third thought was, surely this was an airplane mechanics house and he just died.

Not sure of the real story here, but it makes for some interesting photos. What do YOU think the story is? Let me know!
