How can you not fall in love those big eyes 🥰 sorry for all the movement, it was a little windy today.

Somedays I question “my why”, especially when it comes to ticks and horse/deer flys ……🤔🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Does anyone else feel the satisfaction and accomplishment from power washing! I love it! We have so much mold, fungi, moss, mushrooms from the wet humid weather lately. Today I’m power washing the concrete under our bird feeders and the landscape rocks…..in between the rain shower’s 🙌🏻 ☀️☔️

Female Common Whitetail Dragonfly and a very beneficial Sand Wasp. Sand Wasps are natural pest controllers and very efficient pollinators. Unlike aggressive social wasps, these solitary ground - nesters are docile, rarely sting humans and provide substantial environmental perks. A few things they help with is aeration of the ground, which leads to improved water drainage. They sustain themselves on plant nectar, they transfer pollen when they move between blooms. Female Sand Wasps with hunt down houseflies, deer flies, horse flies and mosquitoes 😲

Yesterday I had some much needed nature therapy at Mumford Preserve. This 160 acre preserve has so much to offer and it’s one of my favorite places to reflect and get out in nature! I cannot thank Luigi and Manly Mumford enough for their donation of this property to North Central Conservancy Trust! And a huge shout out to all the volunteers that help maintain this property. It is truly a gem 💕On my walk yesterday I used the Merlin Bird ID phone application and recorded lots of birds that ranged from: Red-eyed Vireo, American Redstart, Cedar Waxwing, Eastern Wood-Pewee, House Wren, Ovenbird, Brown Creeper, Hermit Thrush. Here’s a view from my perspective of yesterday! Yes even those creepy spiders deserve some fame!
