Memorial Day is more than the start of summer.

A moment to reflect on sacrifice, freedom, and the families forever changed by loss.

As someone connected to the fire service community for many years, I have seen firsthand the depth of service, commitment, and love people carry for their communities and this country.

Today, we honor those who never made it home.

May we remember them not only in silence, but in how we live, love, and show up for one another.
