A little bts from yesterday’s session!

I’m usually the one behind the camera so it’s not often someone thinks to capture me doing what I love. Yesterday, this sweet girl’s mama snapped a few photos during our session and sent them over afterward. Such a thoughtful little surprise!

Then this morning, she sent me a message that absolutely made my day.

“It was surreal watching my sweet redhead just turn into a young woman before my eyes through your lens.”

Y’ALL. 😭

And she hasn’t even seen the finished photos yet!

It’s little moments like this that remind me why I love photography so much. It’s about more than just pretty pictures and knowing that the experience itself meant that much to her is pretty special.

The fall colors are looking SO good right now & the weather forecast for the next couple of weeks is looking pretty great too!

I’ve had a few dates become available so if you’ve been thinking about getting some fall photos done before the leaves disappear, now’s a great time!

A little rain on your wedding day is one thing… but an entire day of hurricane rain? That’s a whole different story. 🌧️

October 10th gave us absolutely NO breaks in the rain. Not even for a few minutes! And by the time we were ready for bride and groom portraits, it was coming down harder than ever.

But these two? Absolute champs.

We grabbed some umbrellas, made our way to the gazebo, and made the most of what Mother Nature handed us.

It may not have been the sunny fall wedding day everyone imagined, but there was still so much love, laughter, and beauty in the middle of all that rain.

Some sessions just mean a little more. 🤍

My youngest nephew is getting ready to welcome his first baby, which means I’m getting promoted to Great Aunt Jess 🥹

Getting to photograph this chapter for them was so special. The golden light, that sweet baby belly and of course Fred, making sure he was very much part of the moment. 😂

I’m so excited to watch these two step into this next chapter and meet the little one who is already so loved. 🤍

And I have to say… this may be one of my favorite maternity sessions I’ve ever photographed. That LIGHT. ✨

How is it already October?! 🍂

Fall is officially here, and we’re getting into one of my favorite times of year for photos. Pretty color, golden light, cozy outfits, all the good stuff!

I still have a handful of openings through October and into November, and I’m also adding a new option for anyone who doesn’t need a longer session.

The Sunflare ☀️
$125 + tax
15 minutes + a minimum of 10 edited images

Perfect for anyone who just wants a few updated photos without needing 30 minutes or an hour.

Sunflare sessions will take place at one designated Blue Ridge Parkway location approximately 15 minutes outside of Lowgap, NC. Exact meeting details will be provided after booking. Available dates can be found by using the booking link below.

My regular Afterglow and Wildlight sessions are still available too if you want more time, more variety, or a different location 🧡
