I have taken her off the shelf, gave er a good clean, and am going forward specializing in MINI sessions. Upon my transition to this new and exciting world as a birth worker I find it comforting to get my feet accustomed in the delivery room in a place I feel most safe. Behind the lens. So thank you Christina and David for trusting me to capture your birth story. I hope I did you justice. I can say that for myself, your story added to my heart in an authentically deep way. Witnessing your strength and conviction upon the challenges you were faced with made me all the more proud to work with you! Cesarian wasn’t your first choice for delivery but you birthed this baby with fierce love and a peaceful heart, in the most beautiful way. Thank you for your courage! (And for sharing your shots from the OR!)

We planned for months.


And months, and months. We knew it would challenge us, change us. We knew it would hurt, but we'd push through. (Well someone would anyway!) When we envisioned our birth, words like ‘empowering’, ‘transforming’, even ‘blissful’ came to mind. I know this isn’t just me.

So for all the mama’s that when they think back to the day(s) they thought would be the greatest of their lives and still shudder with anxiety… I’m talking to you.

On my first Mother's Day as a mommy my heart is, of course, so heavy with love for my little Eli. It is equally heavy with compassion for all the women who so desperately want children of their own but for some reason or another are not able to conceive. Today, know that your motherly heart is loved too. Stacey Robbins said it best: "If you have ever had compassion for someone who didn't belong to you, fed someone who didn't know you, forgave someone who misunderstood you, & brought healing to someone who didn't appreciate you, you have the heart of a mother. Happy Mother's Day to all the women who Love"
